Who controls your information

Scope of the website

Senkōra is an editorial and affiliate website, not an online store. We do not create customer accounts, operate a shopping cart, take payments, process retailer orders, or receive retailer payment-card details. The site does not use a contact form.

Information we process

Our hosting provider may process technical request and security records such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, requested URLs, and error data. Your browser stores your privacy preference. When Analytics is enabled, Matomo processes approved public page paths, static page titles, timestamps, masked IP addresses and limited device and browser information to produce aggregated audience reports. Individual visitor profiles and visit logs are disabled in the reporting interface. If you email us, we process the address, message, and related correspondence needed to respond.

Purposes

Technical records are processed to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the site based on our legitimate interests. Analytics measures visits and site usage. It is enabled by default on this US-facing website and can be disabled through Cookie settings. Email correspondence is processed to respond to your request, based on your request and our legitimate interest in managing communications. Refusing optional Analytics does not restrict access to the site.

Cookies and analytics

We use our self-hosted Matomo service at matomo.territoiredigital.fr. Matomo records approved public page views without analytics cookies, query strings, URL fragments, referral URLs, account identifiers, advertising, cross-site tracking, or sales events. IP addresses are masked by two bytes and location enrichment uses the anonymized address. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent collection. Saved Analytics refusals are preserved, and Cookie settings in the permanent navigation tools let you stop new measurements. A necessary opposition cookie remembers a refusal for 395 days; removing it takes effect on the next page. The shared Matomo service is hosted on our OVH infrastructure in France. Raw measurement records are kept for 90 days, with a scheduled deletion interval of up to seven days; aggregated reports are kept for 24 months. These technical safeguards do not constitute a certification.

Analytics is enabled by default on this US-facing website unless a saved preference disables it. The default setting is not recorded as an explicit visitor choice. You can disable Analytics at any time through Cookie settings in the navigation tools or footer. No advertising features, sales events, user accounts, or cross-site tracking are enabled. Positive choices are remembered for up to six months; recorded refusals remain effective until you change them. The choice can be changed or withdrawn at any time through Cookie settings.

Matomo also counts affiliate clicks with only merchant, network, US market, product identifier, content slug, and placement. These are static editorial labels, not personal identifiers. A click is not a purchase or proof of sales attribution. The same opposition and browser privacy signals apply.

Affiliate links and retailers

Following an affiliate link takes the reader to an independent retailer. The retailer may then receive technical referral information and process data under its own privacy policy. Senkōra does not receive the retailer’s customer account, payment-card, shipping, or complete order information. An affiliate network or retailer may provide Senkōra with aggregated or transaction-level commission reporting as permitted by its program terms.

Recipients and international transfers

OVH SAS hosts the site on a server in Beauharnois (BHS), Canada. The dedicated Senkōra US reports are processed by our shared Matomo service on OVH infrastructure in France. Access is restricted to authorized administrators. We do not use Google Analytics on this website.

Retention

Positive preferences are kept for up to six months. Recorded refusals remain effective until changed; the necessary opposition cookie lasts 395 days. Security and server logs are retained only for the period needed for operation, security, and incident investigation under the hosting configuration. Matomo retention periods are described above. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the request and any necessary follow-up or legal record.

Your rights

Because the operator is established in France, the GDPR applies to its processing. Subject to applicable conditions, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and may withdraw consent at any time. Requests can be sent to contact@senkora.com. Individuals may also complain to the CNIL or another competent European supervisory authority.

United States privacy

Senkōra does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor privacy rights that apply to our activities and respond to verifiable requests sent to the contact address above. State-law obligations that depend on statutory thresholds or specific processing activities are assessed against Senkōra’s actual operations rather than presumed solely because the site serves US readers.

Children

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our processing, providers, or legal obligations materially change and will seek renewed consent when required. Independent legal review may be sought if a new service, sensitive processing, or material legal uncertainty is introduced.
