The difference is $150.99 before tax and shipping. A $199 lens plus compatible creative filters would cost less than the TRI-SIGHT only if those extras total less than $150.99. This is a spending threshold, not a quoted filter kit. If you already own a suitable 50mm, compare only the additional accessory cost with buying another lens.
A diffusion filter can be worth exploring for softened highlights, but it is not evidence of an equivalent Smooth mode. Nor should a filter purchase be assumed to reproduce Foams.
